Benalmádena vs Nautilus of Wiltshire
10th October 2006

Tuesday
the 10th of October was the turn of Nautilus to visit Benalmádena, a combined
team from various clubs in Wiltshire and what a friendly bunch they were, they
even managed to get their coach courier of Personal Touch, also called Nick, to
make up their numbers as they arrived one short. He turned out to be
quite a mean bowler and a very good lead, putting pressure on the home team on
most ends. (Left - the two teams - photo ©2006

Play
commenced with the usual spider, which for once was one by members of the home
team. Second place went to Jim Neilson with John Greenwood being nearest,
having taken the jack with him just to make sure no one else managed to get a
look in, very clever John.
The game consisted of 6 rinks, all hotly contested but with
again, one exception. Benalmadena ended up the winners by 112 points to
the visitors 104 and 4 rinks to 2, a close contest all agreed. Nick
Cole presented a commemorative photograph of the club to the gallant losers. (Right
